Recent Projects

Belle is a 24 metre 1982 aluminium Royal Huisman sailing yacht currently undergoing a full refit. We are providing extensive specification, design, and management services to the project. A yacht such as this deserves the absolute best, and we are committed to ensuring excellence in this refit. Amongst other extensive works, she is to be fitted with a fully electric propulsion system consisting of an electric motor, Lifepo4 DC battery bank, and a diesel generator (range extender). This system greatly improves on the vessel's original range under power, allows propulsion without noise or smell, and enables the propellor to charge the batteries whilst under sail (hydrogeneration). Full systems and electrical refit, partial interior refit, and some minor structural works are also being carried out.

JRCook Marine provided the Sunseeker design team with a re-design package on their 131 Yacht to implement the change over to a new set of MTU engines with exhaust aftertreament to comply with more strict emissions regulations; a new more efficient hydraulic system; altered stabilisers; improved sewage treatment; and updated electrical systems. We have a very good working relationship with production yards such as Sunseeker, always ensuring we exceed the high standards of detail required in their drawings, parts lists, discussions & design implementations.

Approached by the Huisfit yard in Amsterdam to provide design support on the new crew deckhouse, we were very pleased to take on a project on this beautiful 63m Schooner. Specifically, we worked on designing the geometry and drawings for the engine room ventilation and its interaction/ mods to the deckhouse design as a whole. Both structure and noise levels were a bit of a healthy challenge with the limited space available, but we were pretty proud of how it turned out. Photos from Huisfit

JRCook Marine took on a drawing package for the newbuild design on a multitude of the exterior fitout assemblies on the multi-award-winning Sunseeker 100 Yacht.

Farnweh is a classic 38' pine planked, oak framed Bermudan Ketch. She is due to have a major refit before being sailed to Greece as a liveaboard. The owners were a bit overwhelmed with how to envision their perfect refit - what to get done, and how to do it. Every detail of the vessel was inspected and discussed to understand how and where they would use the boat and what they want from it, and then many further items they perhaps hadn't thought of. JRCook Marine then created a detailed refit specification that would bring the needs and ambitions of the owners to life. This specification has subsequently been taken to multiple refits yards for comparable quotes and forms the backbone for the refit from start to finish.

The Hardy 50DS; a stiking explorer yacht built for reliability, comfort and seaworthyness. Full systems and electrical design package was taken from initial specification through to production drawing package completed by JRCook Marine. Vessel is due to be launched later in 2023
